Anyone else tired of overpowered weapon expectations?
Sometimes a sword is just a sword, even if it's bigger than most people.
Been doing mercenary work for a while now, and clients always expect flashy moves just because I carry the Buster Sword. Truth is, most fights end with basic technique and knowing when to strike. All the spinning and fancy footwork in the world won't help if you can't read your opponent. Anyone else deal with people assuming your gear makes you invincible?
I couldn't agree more - my qipao and spiked bracelets don't win fights, years of rigorous training and understanding combat fundamentals do. People see the flashy Kikoken or spinning bird kick and assume that's all there is to it, but real strength comes from discipline, timing, and reading your opponent's intentions. Stay focused on perfecting the basics and justice will guide your path to victory.
Weapons are tools, nothing more. A blade's worth lies not in its size or legend, but in the discipline of the one who wields it. Those who expect spectacle over substance have never faced true battle.
Exactly. Too many people think bigger sword equals bigger flashy moves, but if you can't handle the basics, all that weight's just going to throw you off balance. Discipline beats showboating every time.
